His real name is Carlos Ray, born on 10th March 1940. He is an American actor, martial artist with great media personality. His popularity started when he became a martial artist after serving the United States Air Force for a considerably long period of time. Since his journey to fame started, he has founded his own school with the name Chun Kuk Do.

Chuck Norris has featured in several films such as Way of the Dragon in the 1980s and Walker, Texas Ranger between the years 1993 and 2001. Due to his image as a tough person, a particular phenomenon in the internet began during the year of 2005 outlining different facts about Chuck Norris. Some of these facts are:
a.    Chuck Norris has more money than you despite the fact that both of you could be having equal amounts of money.
b.    Chuck Norris’s computer has no control button as he is always in control.

Chuck Norris is a staunch Christian and upholds politics. He’s written a number of books on Christianity, of which some have been donated to Republican candidates. He did campaign for ex-governor Mike Huckabee in the years 2007 and 2008 who was aspiring for a presidential position against his rivals John McCain and Mitt Romney.

Chuck Norris married a beautiful young lady known as Diane Holechek in the year 1958. They were blessed with two children, both of which were boys. Unfortunately, Norris’s marriage life was not a bed of rises as he and his wife finally divorced in the year 1988. After ten years he remarried to a former model known as Gena O’Kelley who bore him twins in the year 2001.

Chuck Norris is a famous personality of the entertainment industry. He is an actor and a martial artist practitioner. These two features combined managed to create an entire legacy around the man Chuck Norris and to grow his reputation of an unstoppable and powerful figure. Ever since he started his career, in 1968, Chuck Norris gained numerous parts in various film and television productions, as well as in other instances that popularized him as an actor and as a martial arts expert. For his outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry, Chuck Norris received a variety of nominations and he won the trophies for the majority of them.

The only nomination for which the actor did not gain the trophy came in 1999, at the TV Guide Awards, for the Favorite Actor in a Drama category, for the part he played in Walker, Texan Ranger. The awards came from various award shows and for different categories. These have also contributed to creating the legacy and the fame of Chuck Norris. The first trophy received by Chuck Norris was for the Action Star of the Year, which was a Special Award given by the ShoWest Convention, in 1982. The acting career that made him famous was solidified with a Star on the Walk of Fame, at Hollywood Boulevard, in 1989, in the Motion Picture category.

In 1992, the actor won another Special Award at the ShoWest Convention, for the International Box Office Star of the Year. The year 1997 brought two trophies in the way of Chuck Norris for the Texas Legend Special Award at the Lone Star Film and Television Awards and for the BMI TV Music Award at the BMI Film and TV Awards, shared with Kevin Kiner and Tirk Wilder, in Walker, Texan Ranger. The following two years, in 1998 and in 1999, the same award was again issued to them. In 1999, Chuck Norris received the Favorite Actor in a Drama Award at the TV Guide Awards, again for his part in Walker, Texan Ranger. The last award came in 2001, at the Golden Boot Awards, a special award show for the Western themed productions.

Chuck Norris has a huge fan base not only in America where he has done most of his best work in movies but also in his ventures of martial arts. Born in 1940, Chuck Norris is aged 70 years old this year and is still fighting fit for a man of his age. This just goes to prove that fitness can keep you young and Chuck is living proof of this through his martial arts. AKA Carlos ‘Chuck’ Norris, one of the great actors of yesteryear as well as today you can see Chuck in many movies which usually include Kung Fu of some kind because Chuck is actually a martial arts expert. Having his own club and style of Kung Fu called Chun Kuk Do he has being training people in ways of self defense for many years now. Born in 1940 his first job was in the United Stated Air Force which was a great career to get off the ground however after several years in this position Chuck left the services and pursued his career as an entertainer in movies and on TV. Bruce Lee was one of his idols during this time even though Bruce was actually younger than Chuck was. Having the same interests in the Kung Fu style of martial arts these two celebrities got together to make some very interesting and entertaining movies. The Way of the Dragon was one of the best movies that generally the majority of the population has scene.

Chuck Norris is not only devoted to his way of martial arts but is also very keen on his faith as a Christian. Using his time and his spare money he has done charity work for the under privileged people all around the world however really focusing on the people in his own back yard. There is not an American who would not know the name of Chuck Norris and of all the great work he has done including on the screen and for charity. His skills in the fighting ring have proved to be somewhat of an advertising agent for his own show in Kung Fu. Carlos Ray (Chuck) Norris was born March 10th 1940 in Ryan, Oklahoma. He is the son to Wilma and Ray Norris. Chucks father Ray, was a truck driver, bus driver and mechanic. His paternal grandfather immigrated to the United States from Ireland as did his maternal grandmother. His paternal grandmother and maternal grandfather were Cherokee Native Americans. When Chuck was sixteen his parents divorced and he later moved to Kansas and then onto California with his mother and two brothers. Chuck describes himself as non athletic and shy as a child.

Chuck is an American martial artist, actor and celebrity. After serving a stint in the United States Air Force, he became famous as a martial artist. Chuck even founded his own martial arts school, Chun Kuk Do. Chun Kuk Do was founded and first taught by Chuck. The style was developed during the 1970′s and after using a number of different names for his style Chun Kuk Do was used from around 1990. The name translates to The Universal Way. Chuck originally trained in Tan Soo Do which is a Korean hard style striking martial art. The developing style included influences of Tang Soo Do and included elements of Taekwondo, Wrestling, Muay Thai and other martial arts. Every summer a member’s only Chun Kuk Do training conference and world championship tournament is held in Las Vegas.

Chuck Norris has appeared in action films including Way of the Dragon in which he co starred with Bruce Lee. Chuck was the leading star of the Cannon Group during the 1980′s. One of his most famous roles was in the television series; Walker, Texas Ranger. The series ran from 1993 to 2001.

When it comes to having one of the biggest fan bases and the fact that billions of people around the world have idolized him at one stage or another in their lives you would still think that chuck Norris is a very down to earth kind of person. Many of his friends will tell you that this is true and that for somebody that has fame and fortune you could not find a nicer guy to be dealing with. We all know that Chuck Norris has been a big star for many years in all of his action and shoot them up movies but Chuck has also been a director amongst many other things including a very high level martial arts expert.
